The Lanka Plus Organization and Positive Hopes Alliance recently teamed up to host a Yoga and Mental Health PROGRAMME, aimed at promoting the wellbeing of individuals in community. The programme was designed to emphasize the importance of mental health and the role that yoga can play in supporting overall health and wellbeing
During the program, participants were led through various yoga poses and breathing exercises, followed by a discussion on the benefits of yoga and mindfulness. The program also covered topics such as stress management, self- care and techniques for finding balance in daily life.
Overall, the program was well- received by participants, who expressed appreciation for the opportunity to learn about the benefits of yoga and mindfulness. ‘I have never done yoga before, but I found the poses and breathing exercises really relaxing’ said one participant.
